Protecting your personal data is important to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of the applicable legal provisions (GDPR, Austrian Data Protection Act, Telecommunications Act 2021). This notice explains which data are processed when you visit this website and when you place an order. As of September 2026.

Summary

Visiting the Website (Server Log Files)

With every request your browser technically transmits data to our web server: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the previously visited page (referrer), and browser and operating system. We use these data only to deliver the website, keep it secure and investigate faults or attacks.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are kept only as long as necessary for these purposes and then deleted. Our web host processes these data solely on our behalf (processor under Art. 28 GDPR).

Contact Form, Online Registration and Email

If you contact us via a form or by email, or register your license, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, company, message, license details) to handle your request. Form submissions are transmitted technically as an email to our mailbox; to prevent abuse, the IP address and time of submission are included.

The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We keep these data until your request has been dealt with and no follow-up questions are to be expected; if they relate to a contract, the next section applies.

Orders and Contract Processing

For an order we process your name, billing address, email address, where applicable phone number, company and VAT ID, the licenses ordered, the chosen payment method and your declarations on the right of withdrawal with their time stamp. Without these details we cannot conclude the contract or provide the license.

The legal bases are performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal obligations, in particular under tax law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

Recipients. We only pass on data where this is necessary to perform the contract, required by law, or permitted on another legal basis under data protection law:

Retention. Accounting records (in particular invoices) are kept for seven years as required by Austrian tax law (§ 132 BAO). All other data are deleted as soon as they are no longer needed for processing the contract or for asserting or defending legal claims.

Online Withdrawal

If you withdraw from a contract using our form, we process your name, email address, order or invoice details, your declaration, and the time and IP address of receipt. We need these data to match the withdrawal, confirm its receipt to you and process the reversal (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). They are kept as long as necessary for the reversal and for proving it.

Payment with PayPal

At checkout you can pay with PayPal, provided by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22–24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg. The PayPal payment module is only loaded when you request it – by clicking “Load PayPal payment” or the PayPal tab. From that moment PayPal receives technical data such as your IP address, and PayPal creates an entry (__paypal_storage__) in your browser’s local storage. If you pay with PayPal, we transmit the invoice amount and order description.

The legal basis is performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). PayPal is itself responsible for processing within its service; see the PayPal Privacy Statement.

Cookies and Local Storage

We set no cookies and use no web analytics (such as Google Analytics), no tracking and no advertising services. A cookie banner is therefore not required.

We store your shopping cart in your browser’s local storage so that it is kept while you move between pages. This entry stays on your device and is only transmitted to us when you place an order. It is cleared after a completed order, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings. This storage is strictly necessary for the purchase you requested (§ 165(3) Austrian Telecommunications Act 2021). For PayPal’s entry see above.

Our pages contain plain links, for example to Facebook. No data are transferred until you click such a link; from then on the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
